Mark you calendars!  We’ve got some fun events planned for the upcoming months . . .

  • Hero WOD Fridays – Starts Friday April 21st
    • Enjoy a Hero WOD for the 5:30 pm class every other Friday.
    • Hang out and commiserate with a beer/drink with your fellow athletes (BYOB).
  • Festivus Competition – Saturday April 22nd
    • CrossFit Profectus in Broomfield (555 Alter St. #14, Broomfield, Colorado).
    • Heats start at 9 am and go pretty much all day. We have athletes in each heat.  Come cheer and represent 5280 CrossFit!
  • Patrick’s Going Away WOD – Friday April 28th at 5:30 pm
    • Patrick Callahan is moving on! We’ll be celebrating Patrick during the 5:30 pm class on April 28th.
    • It’s Patrick’s choice . . . so be prepared to suffer a little bit. I’m sure we’ll be visiting a brewery after for food and drinks.
  • Girls Gone WOD Podcast Episode 200 Party – Saturday April 29th 5 – 7:30 pm
    • CrossFit Jai (1921 Federal Blvd, Denver, Colorado).
    • Join us in celebrating Claire Koch (honorary member and one of the hosts of Girls Gone WOD Podcast). Claire and Joy are recording their 200th episode at CrossFit Jai and want all their friends to join! Lots of food, cupcakes and CrossFit!
  • Murph WOD and Brunch – Saturday May 27th at 9 am
    • “Murph” is done near Memorial Day in memory of Navy Lieutenant Michael Murphy, 29, of Patchogue, N.Y., who was killed in Afghanistan June 28th, 2005.
    • For time: 1 mile Run,100 Pull-ups, 200 Push-ups, 300 Squats, 1 mile Run
    • Don’t worry . . . we’ll have plenty of scaling options and tips to get through this one.  Just come and enjoy a fun morning with the gym!
    • BBQ brunch on the patio after the workout. More information to follow for potluck sign ups.
  • 5280 CrossFit Mile High Throwdown – Saturday June 17th; Time TBD
    • Partner competition and anniversary party . . . so grab your best crossfit buddy and get ready to crush some partner WODS.
    • This is for 5280 CrossFit members only. If you’re nervous out doing this, chat to someone who did it last year. It’s a blast!
